Caravela - Danbury

I absolutely love the Português Club! The food is delicious, and the staff is very friendly. It's an excellent place to enjoy dinner with family and friends.

We started with the Clams, Shrimp Angola, and Flambéed Chouriço appetizers, all of which were fantastic. The Chouriço was flambéed at our table, so be sure to watch it closely and flip it halfway to avoid burning. For mains, each of us ordered something different, and once again, there were no complaints. The steaks were perfectly cooked and came with fries and white rice. I chose the Feijoada (bean stew), which was large enough to serve three or four people. It was incredibly tasty, and someone else ordered the chicken and thoroughly enjoyed it. Do yourself a favor: don't let the lack of patrons deter you—definitely give this place a try. You won't be disappointed!

It was my first time visiting this Portuguese club, and I was truly impressed! The atmosphere is stunning, the food is fantastic, and both the members and staff are incredibly friendly!

The Center co-sponsored a debate for the 5th congressional district, and really made the evening successful.
