Whiskey Creek Hideout - Dania Beach

This morning we were the only ones on the creek. Rented a couple of single kayaks (1-person). $30 each for the 1st hour $15 for each additional hour. When I called on Monday I was told $25 for the 1st hour and $10 for each additional hour, but $30 was not bad. It was peaceful. We took a detour off the creek that was marked for kayaks and others, but I would not recommend it. The water was fresh at first but as we went along a film on top of the water got thicker and thicker and the scum started collecting inside the kayak. We thought we would be able to come back out into the creek but had to turn around due to the low limbs obscuring our way. After reaching the main creek, we continued out. We spotted Blue Jays, Woodpeckers, Egrets, Seagulls and heard cicadas or katydids.

Really great kayak trail for people who love a more low key, nature-y river. Super good for the price. $6 a day to enter the park, and you have a full beach day on the other side of the river!!! Love the vibes.

It was a nice finding in the bushes. I was surprised they have live music and ice cream. Nice getaway. Probably good for afternoon beers.

Beautiful scenic park closed to Ft. Lauderdale airport. Lots of large spaces and areas for group gatherings and events. Whiskey Creek hideout is just that...a hideout where you'll find lots of space to sit and overlook the watwr and sign up for kayak or paddleboards.

What a fantastic find this restaurant is! The park is wonderful and welcomes pets. It was great to discover a place with delicious food and good beer. Unfortunately, we had to miss out on the activities because it started to rain!
