Bon Appetite Cafe - Darawank

We had brunch ....the coffee order was mixed up .....the meal was overpriced ,and what we ordered (which was on the menu)wasn’t in stock.They substituted a cheap meat cut (undercooked and tasted like leather).We asked for poached eggs ,and received fried eggs.No breads choices (only white!!!)Not a good experience.Will go to other eatery next time.

Horrible service. Staff yelling from one side of the shop to the other. Eftpos was down so had to get cash out. In that time. Order was never placed until we could pay, was told the wait time had doubled since then. Was then advised coffees would be anywhere from 15m wait up so we decided to leave. Hadn’t even sat down yet and was lashed with bad attitude from staff. Such a shame. Was once a nice place.

Sunday morning only one staff member cooking and serving. I ordered vegemite Turkish toast. And a coffee. The coffee was so weak I had to send it back for an extra shot. He was in the kitchen buttering my toast I could hear it. He then served about three customers and brought the toast out cold. He mustn’t have a heat ledge. Very poor. I won’t be back.

Wow, what a little surprise this meal was. The coffee was delicious and flavoursome and as for the eggs Benedict, top shelf, well done chef. The eggs burst open with yummy, gooey flavour and topped with a very tasty hollendaise sauce that sat on a bed of salmon and spinach. When I saw it was all on top of 2 muffins I was slightly disappointed it wasn't sour bread, BUT, it works so well with all of the fresh flavours of the toppings, well done again. One little suggestion maybe an extra Muffin to soak up the left over egg and sauce mixture. No waiting, and a friendly staff. 4 stars all around. Be back again

Had lunch today at this cafe. Ordered lunch special at 11.45am of Mushroom n bacon frittata to be told they didn't have any. Thought it was strange as we were there early for lunch n it was on the top of the specials board. Ended up having sweet potato fritters which were not up to standard n very ordinary. Would not go there again. Sub standard indeed.
