Café Square One - Darby Township

Ordered the sunrise sammy and they sent me a pile of cheesy bacon with a hasbrown sandwich. How could a cook possibly forget one of the three name ingredients in the most basic breakfast sandwich there is. Never seen this happen before at even McDonald's. A restaurant of this caliber doing that is just incredibly shocking. And yes, I checked the receipt to see if it was my mistake and it was not. My first bad review on Google in a very long time, if ever

ZERO stars. This establishment doesn’t have management or ownership per the one employee that works here. I got a brown sugar latte and after accidently spilling it I asked for a new one and they refused. After asking for a refund since I didn’t get to have my drink they refused. This place will steal your money and offer no assistance when there’s a problem. This place gives “front” vibes illegal business and I would stay far away if I were you.

Honestly wasn't expecting much when I walked in since it gives self service cafe vibes. But our sandwiches and drinks were really good. Adventurous toast (truffle pesto) was a highlight. Swedish fish bagel sandwich was pretty good. Loved my London fog and my fiance really liked her brown sugar late. Would come back for sure.

Place is very poorly run, extremely bad service. Today was my last time, there were 8 customers waiting for food, at least 12 meals ready and for over 5 minutes, not a single customer was given their ready food. Really crazy, it's like the manager runs around like her heads chopped off, they need a MANAGER.

I’m concerned about this place. I brought in a container and asked them to put water in it for my dogs. The cashier said that they do not serve tap water, that it’s not drinkable. She said even the staff uses bottled water. Umm. So I asked “how do you prepare food without potable water?”. She says “oh, we don’t use water, it’s all oils and such”. I kept prodding but gave up. She said she could give me hot water served over ice. Huh? How is the ice made .. if not from water? This may require a report to the health department.
