Contribuisci feedbackTLDR; Good food, BUT terrible service, they need new staff. My Loup is a restaurant with great potential. The forethought that went into each of the dishes is apparent and definitely appreciated. The skate cheeks and 32 oz ribeye were some of the best. The touch of the pickled shrimp served alongside oysters helped to elevate a typical oysters on a half shell (they were sweet a fresh oysters as well). HOWEVER, the service was atrocious. When I say this, I felt more seen and heard at a fast casual restaurant like Olive Garden than I did at My Loup. When our reservation wasn 't marked down (maybe it wasn 't the restaurants fault, but who knows) we asked to see if we could get a table after the first set of covers. After giving them our contact info. and being told that they would contact us as soon as the outdoor table was available, we waited the quoted hour, never recieved a call/text, and returned to My Loup to find a new set of folks sitting at the table promised to us. We were then told that it would an additional hour (5:45pm initial arrival to now 7:30pm push back). Finally after 1.5 hours, we were seated at 7:15pm, after a snippy remark from the Host about it being 15 mins earlier than the quoted hour which was completely unneccesary, and we were trying to keep the air friendly too. Service during dinner was no better. Our servers were not attentive at all and seemed to want to leave our table as soon as possible, almost like they were afraid of us ordering something from the menu. And yes there were a multitude of different people serving us. At the end, we had to go inside just to get the check due to the lack of attentiveness from the staff. Part of me wonders if it was a race issue, or if it was because we didn 't arrive in a suit and tie. Who knows? Terrible that this is the reality of the front of house for a Chef who 's making delicious cuisines.
We had been dying to try My Loup, and boy, was it worth the wait! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by a friendly host who offered to grab us drinks while we waited a few minutes for our table. He was extremely knowledgeable about the spirits and cocktails on offer and gave us some excellent recommendations. Once seated, we were immediately impressed by the decor—and the attentiveness from all the staff, not just our server. We tried the pickled shrimp and the scallops with pepper vinaigrette, both incredibly tasty! This was followed by one of the best bites of the night, the Foie Gras (my personal favorite), while my husband loved the Green Garlic Escar-roll. For our main, we shared the Lamb Shoulder, which was incredibly tender. For dessert, we split the Pear Tarte Tatin with a complimentary salted caramel and green apple ice cream, which left me scraping the dish—it was amazing! I cannot recommend My Loup enough! The attention to detail, from start to finish, and the unique dishes and cocktails are top-notch.
We opted for the chef’s tasting menu, and it was nothing short of spectacular. Each dish was thoughtfully curated and packed with flavor, and we couldn’t resist adding a few more plates to our order—every bite was worth it! The restaurant has a cool, unpretentious vibe that makes you feel at home. The staff were not only attentive but also incredibly fun and cool, which made the evening even more enjoyable.
Don't eat lunch before you go! An amazing spot for creative cocktails, inspired starters and entrees. Desserts weren't my favourite but I was stuffed on amazing food by then anyway. Very attentive staff.
Really delicious food. The plating might not be the fanciest, but each element is essential to the dish. If the lettuce were removed from the crab, or the basil missing from the pickle jar, then the dish would be lacking something. Even the hardboiled egg adds texture. In my opinion, that’s the point that a creation is “complete”. No extraneous components. The flavors are strong yet balanced. The aioli’s super garlicky yet doesn’t overpower the shrimp. The dishes have plenty of acidity for brightness, yet nothing screams sour. My Loup also achieves balance by playing around with contrasts: hot and cold, creamy and crunchy. Good stuff. Service and atmosphere are wonderful. Waitstaff were really helpful in deciding what to order. I hear they’ll help tailor your meal if you go for the carte blanche.
