The Bakeshop On Twentieth

That such good food can be produced in such a small space is remarkable. Offering delicious pastries, specialty sandwiches wraps, no wonder there's a line out the door, Still it's worth the short wait if one of the tiny sidewalk tables isn't available, nearby Rittenhouse Square is a great spot for a picnic.

We made a special trip to Rittenhouse Square yesterday and stopped for a morning treat at The Bakeshop on 20th. Were we ever glad we did! We had 4 items, all of which were spectacular: a blondie brownie, a Nutella muffin, an oat bar and a butterscotch scone. Very morsel was delicious. We had expected a much larger space, but the treats they serve are out of this World!

The Bakeshop on 20th Street is a cute little neighborhood bakery (Take out only) in the Rittenhouse Square area. The sell a variety of croissants, sticky buns, homemade pop tarts, several varieties of scones (Note: These are oat scones ... not the English or Irish type). Coffees, fresh OJ are available. We tried croissant, pop tart, scone everything was good (but not outstanding). It 's certainly convenient for take out baked goods in the Rittenhouse Square neighborhood.

Was staying around the Rittenhouse area, and search for gluten-free bakery options. Plenty came up, however, we decided to go here as it has great reviews and Philly sites list it as one of the best in the city. The place is small and cute. The person at the register (maybe one of the owners), was great with recommendations and with conversation. We had good coffee with oak milk as they offered and we wanted to try. Breakfast was delicious and interesting as there is combinations that capture your imagination and taste buds. The cookies are out of this world! The gluten-free options are very tasty and worth getting. I will come back to this bakeshop for breakfast everytime I am in Philly.

This is the CUTEST little bakery. We saw it on Yelp and stopped in for an afternoon snack as our dinner reservation was on the later side of the evening. We tried the brookie half brownie/half chocolate chip cookie , the thumbprint ? , and the ricotta cookies. All were fantastic. Hands down winner goes to the ricotta cookie!
