The restaurant is incredibly fresh, delicious, and great for families.
I adore buffets! You can enjoy an all-you-can-eat salad bar for lunch every day, or indulge in the Sunday breakfast buffet until 10am.
Visited with my child for first time in 18 months. Was looking tired, floor was quite dirty looking with food spilt and left, salad bar hasn't changed in forever. Wasn't a very busy night so no excuse for cleanliness
Once upon a time, Sizzler used to be good value for money, and offered a good range of options for most people. Sadly, those times are now a fairy tale. My wife and I have not been to Sizzler in almost 6 months, and decided to have dinner there the other night. I ordered the Malibu Chicken, and my wife ordered the Barramundi. $75 for these two meals, salad bar, and drinks. Jaysus!!!!!! We could have gone to a fine dining establishment and received higher quality, chef cooked meals for less! Here is the thing. They USED to do cheaper meals at lunch, and charge more for dinner, BUT, at lunch, you would receive a single chicken patty on your Malibu Chicken, then for dinner (because it cost more) you would receive TWO chicken patties on your Malibu Chicken. NOT ANY MORE!! I received one chicken patty, and 12 chips (yes...I counted them) My wife got 11 chips on her plate, and her Barramundi was not that grand....she could only eat half of it.Could the let down stop just there? It would be great if it did, but it just kept going.Salad bar. Why on earth do they feel the need to add meat to practically every one of their interesting salads. Here's a concept Sizzler.....put the meat options ON THE SIDE, so vegetarians or people who don't any more artery clogging meats added to their food can pick and choose what they want or DON'T want in their salads. I think the only salad option without meat or seafood was a coleslaw.Mexican bar. Again....why does Sizzler add meat to their sauce? In the US Sizzlers, they have all of the ingredients SEPARATE, so if you just want a veggie version, you can can. If you want a beef version, you can. If you want a chicken version, you can. All you can eat is a great concept, but you have to give variety to the guests. I would have loved to have a mexican wrap with some black beans or refried beans. Nope. Not possible. All of those tasty things are in the MEAT SAUCE!Pasta bar. You now have two choices for your pasta, when there used to be three. You can only have Bolognese (Meat sauce...mmmm...did someone say heart attack) or Alfredo. What happened to the Tomato and Basil sauce?? Gone! Just like our future patronage.Dessert bar. Please....if you are going to replace your number one Apple Crumble dessert with something else, make sure it's actually up to standard. I'm not sure if anyone in the Sizzler kitchens have ever had REAL Sticky Date Pudding, because what was being offered at Sizzler could only be described as a 'best guess'. Making a cake mix, and adding a drizzle of caramel over the top does not a Stick Date experience make. And what is the deal with Bread and Butter pudding? If I was to get rid of a dessert, THIS one would be the one that would go, and never return. I am yet to meet someone who actually eats it.Positive note time.....the ice cream machine was working, and pumping out good ice-cream.So....there you have it. My recent experience with Sizzler. And given that these stores are closing all over Australia, it's little wonder. I wouldn't mind paying $75 for the two of us to dine there, but seriously.....reducing the options and the range for the diner, while increasing the prices....well.....don't expect us back ever again. There are now many more possibilities available in Toowoomba that are better value.
