Coffee bar by espresso’d is a speciality coffee shop without the pretentious setting, which is usually connected with good speciality coffee. I ordered a latte and it was nice and creamy with the right amount of kick. the beans are measured before the maals with a scale. the menu is limited, but cheap and tasty. the avo on toast was well seasoned and the radishes gave the court a beautiful texture. will come back!
I can't remember where I saw the article, but it was recommended as top 10 coffee shop in sydney. with all major and great names coffee shops in sydney, it was nice to see a small owner operator coffee shop on the list. coffee bar by espresso’d is a cozy business at the corner oxford and crowd st. the personal is friendly and the shop is always filled with regular boarding and boarding. when trying out a new coffeeshop, I usually order a latte to have something familiar to compare with other shops. the latte was creamy, smooth and strong, as I like it. Highly rated by my Mrs and also on Beanhunter, the Coffee Bar by Espresso'd have undergone a refurb since my last visit. Still great coffee using Five Senses coffee and friendly service. Very limited seating in a smallish space though so take away is usually the order of the day unless you're lucky to find a seat. Love their old school hand drawn instagram sign. Some Luxe Bakery goodies to tempt or the healthier Munja Bakehouse options on the counter. I've yet to try the food menu as I'm usually just passing by for a quick coffee run.
Old school coffee bar. Very Melbourne vibes from this hole in the wall. The menu is limited but the young Japanese chef and his wife serving making drinks do well with their shop. Coffee is great, maybe the best on Crown street. Breakfast bagel was fresh and simple but they make a chilli relish that is very tasty. All in all a tasteful stop on oxford street for a quick sit.
... Continued. Continued... and epic coffee in a much needed location, I'll go with it. Sorry for split review, would be easier if not typing this on a mobile ; 01 Apr, 2014 An oasis of cool. I'm not easily impressed but these guys do it well. Great food menu, very reasonably priced and lovely staff. Zac the barista is a gem, producing consistently superb coffee. Only downside for me, anyway is cash only, but given that the food menu is at least 10 cheaper than others, coupled with delightful staff
