I have to say that the service from some staff was really poor. when we got there we waiting a good 15-20 mins before we got our first drink which was annoying to say we purchased a Chandon drinks package wasn't ideal. We were sat next to a really busy table to next to us and could see there was maybe delays due to this. Plates weren't replaced and we ended up eating the dessert with our fingers as we weren't given any cutlery.. Waitress Gabbie then brought then over after we had all finished.. she was very rude when we gave her feedback for them being to late. After food again we waited a while for drinks we raised this with management on the day and then were given an extra drink as a apology which was nice.
A girlfriend and I booked the boozy brunch set menu including unlimited Chandon for 3 hours. The place looked gorgeous, the booze ran freely and the service was top notch. They even accommodated the fact I'm vegetarian and my friend does not eat salmon and gave us yummy alternatives. We had a huge amount of food to share but noticed that we were being given the same amount of food as tables of 4. The highlight was the incredible Nutella French toast. One of the best things I've ever eaten! My recommendation is to go in a group of 2 if you want to maximize the food and to save room for the French toast. I would go back again for sure.
Our Country Club culinary journey began with small plates of Marinated Olives, Southern Style Fried Chicken with maple chilli and Marinated Grill Lamb Cutlets. The olives were perfectly marinated and the Fried Chicken was delicately prepared and piping hot.Arriving a little later which was perfect timing were the Lamb Cutlets. These plumptious beauties were lovely and pink and charred to perfection.I am a compulsive over-orderer at restaurants primarily because I want to try as many flavours as possible. Due to my ongoing diet (will it ever end), I behaved myself on this occasion, however I am dying to try the Mac & Cheese Croquettes and the Cheese & Charcuterie Board which features everyones favourite, fromage d’affinois.
Gorgeously decorated albeit quite expensive. Didnt need to wait for a table as it was a tuesday but have been on a Friday with no long waits also, cocktails are to die for even though the place can be a bit stuffy/pretentious.
The place is a restaurant till about 9pm, then the night clubbers start rolling in. By 11pm the tables are packed with clubbers who order bottels of Vodka/Gin?scotch for the table and the fun sarts. The food, the wine list and service is good. If you don't mind the club noise around 10pm then it is pretty good place.
