Enjoying a coffee outside the bakery, overlooking a tempting array of freshly baked goods in the lush surroundings of Paddington, is truly delightful. Despite its location on South Dowling Street, the bakery feels secluded and peaceful.
This bakery is the top spot for pretzels and mouthwatering bread! It's a beloved choice among locals.
If you enjoy delicious bread and cakes, you should definitely visit this bakery. They offer a wide variety of freshly baked breads that are hot and ready to eat. I purchased a large loaf that was so fresh I couldn't even hold it in my hands. It was such a treat to have bread that was made just moments ago. The bakery is a bit small, but perfect for picking up bread and cakes to go. I also tried their crème brulee donut, which was tasty but didn't quite taste like traditional crème brulee - more like vanilla or caramel. However, their carrot cake muffin was absolutely delicious. I can't wait to return and try more of their offerings.
I'm here almost every weekend grabbing one of their delicious coffees and amazing breads. Can get really busy at times and with usually only one person on the register and also preparing the customers food, it can get frustrating.
The cafe where time stands still! <br/ <br/ Honestly the staff here are sooooooo slow! <br/ <br/ It's actually painful to watch them work. I live in a complex just around the corner, it was a common occurrence for me to bump into people from my complex at this cafe but not anymore. Its now a running joke about how slow they are, to the point where it's actually quicker to walk to a cafe further away and get served quicker. <br/ <br/ Now I don't expect the staff to break their backs to serve everyone as quick as possible but they should at least have a sense of urgency about what they are doing. It literally took the woman on the till 3 minutes today to cut a sandwich in half this morning (3rd Jan 2016), in that time I counted four people who either went to walk into the store before walking out or who left the queue and just gave up. The staff in the front don't even break a sweat, regardless if there is one person waiting or ten they operate at the same speed. It's a shame as you can see the bakers in the back working hard to meet demand. <br/ <br/ The bread from here is really good, I'd probably say the best in the area. The coffee is good too but I'm not sure it's worth the 10 minute wait once you've ordered. <br/ <br/ Honestly if they improve the ordering process they would be a 5 star venue, but they have a lot of work to do.
