The service was fantastic, with nothing being too much trouble - they even provided a highchair for the baby. The food was delicious, with most of us opting for the beef which was very tasty. The nut roast and naked burger were also enjoyed, although the burger initially arrived without all the trimmings but was quickly fixed. The desserts were great, with the creme brulee being a highlight despite appearing small - it was surprisingly filling. When the baby became a little restless, we took them to reception to calm down and the staff were very friendly, reassuring us that the baby was just as much a guest as anyone else. We appreciated the welcoming staff and the delicious food. We highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be returning. On a side note, we hadn't visited the Croft Spa in a few years and loved the makeover - well done!
This was my second visit to this restaurant for Sunday lunch, but unfortunately the beef I ordered was very tough and stringy this time. It was a shame because we had recommended this place to my mother. However, the vegetables and dessert were delicious. The ambience and service were great, it's just disappointing about the meat quality.
I visited this restaurant for the second time, choosing it for New Year's Eve as my previous experience was enjoyable. There were six of us in our party and we were seated in a very brightly lit restaurant. Unfortunately, there were no festive decorations on the table. We had to remind the staff about our pre-dinner cocktails, which arrived just moments before our starters. The food was decent, but they had run out of some menu items. We had to request side plates for sharing dishes and no one checked on our table during the meal. We even had to go to the bar to order drinks. The service was polite but lacking in attentiveness, especially considering the high prices. It seemed like all the attention was on a wedding taking place at the restaurant, which was disappointing as our experience could have been much better.
Great staff who could not do enough for us which was amazing considering one of our party was in a wheelchair and I am both vegetarian and gluten in tolerant. The food was delicious, quick and we felt very well looked after.
Absolutely excellent service, ambience and surroundings just right, dining room as lovely, food beautiful. Lots of veg, cauliflower cheese gorgeous and far more than normal on our plate. Really really nice and very good value. Have already recommended to others and looking to book afternoon tea for myself and friends in January 24
