The location is quite lovely, situated right by the water, and there is ample parking available, including three hours of street parking close by. The restaurant offers a good variety of flavors, catering to larger groups. The prices are reasonable, with child-sized portions (like the Oreo one pictured) available for around $3 and three different types of cones to choose from.
Dockside has delicious ice cream and super fun flavors that you would not expect like Blueberry cheesecake. I'm not the biggest ice lover, but this summer I have with my partner and our pups several times for spontaneous ice-dates. Huge fan of this sweet little spot.
I've been coming here for years and I've never been let down. The staff is very attentive to allergies; you can even request that they wash their spoon before you enjoy your ice cream.
This ice cream is absolutely wonderful — truly some of the best I've ever had. If you're planning to have a meal first, I recommend starting with a quahog or two, then treating yourself to a couple of scoops of Cookie Monster for dessert.
