To start, I want to address Jamie's comment below that the name of the restaurant in the Doubletree by Hilton hotel may not be correct, but that is the establishment I am reviewing. My review is centered around the seafood chowder, as it was part of our Nova Scotia seafood chowder tour. The chowder was delicious, with a thick creamy broth and plenty of seafood in every spoonful. It was a standout dish that I would definitely return for. The service was good and the prices were reasonable. However, I would not recommend the breakfast buffet. The only saving grace was the fresh egg/omelet station, as the scrambled eggs and sausage seemed overcooked and unappetizing. It felt like the servers were trying to push the buffet rather than offering items from the menu, possibly because they needed to clear out the food.
The restaurant in the hotel is not listed by its name, but it is truly a first-class dining establishment.
Haven't found a place yet that tops the Seafood Chowder. And the Buffett Breakfast is divine with the ultimate Omelette and Waffle Station. You need to go there!! Lindsay, Marcy and Kelly in the kitchen!! You gals rock with that menu.....Chef Irwin, your the best....This place is now called the Narrows Bistro since their big renos with the name change to now The Hilton/Doubletree. Highly recommend.
Food was good and service was okay! We had spring rolls and kale salad! The presentation was good and the food was okay! They close at but make sure you are there by
