Pho Hoang Minh Vietnamese/Chinese Restaurant

Extremely disappointed after reading positive reviews. Our order was wrong and when we called to ask that it be rectified they argued with us, saying we asked for the wrong thing when we knew what we had requested. It would have been ok if they offered to fix it but they did not, they sent the correct order and charged for it. We asked for a #14 with tofu and they sent it with soggy tofu and no spring rolls. We asked for #2a vegetable rice paper rolls - and specified it was an appetizer and that we wanted 4 and they sent 4 spring rolls. The fish sauce was bland and we couldn't eat the tofu- soggy with no flavour. We have eaten quite a bit of Vietnamese food and can say for sure this was not good. The customer service was horrible.

We have been travelling for two weeks and decided to eat some Viet food for lunch today. Worst food we have ever had. I had the Viet Pho #8 special and my husband had the combo # 6 (ribs, chow mien, fried rice). The pho obviously was made from instant flavour powder. The soup had no pho taste and very little poor quality meat was used. The rice combo dish was worst than food court Chinese food. The rice was cold, the chow mien was just stir fried bean sprout with dried flavourless chicken, the ribs had no taste and the egg roll had a weird taste. I don't know how this place got a 4.5 star out of 5. We would not recommend anyone eating here. We are from Toronto so our expectation wasn't high for Asian food anywhere else, but this was beyond horrible. However east coast wise we had amazing pho in PEI at Pho Hung in Charlottetown.

I have been going here for over 7 years ... I was away for almost a year and they remembered my order ... extrodinairy ... The menu is authentic and always delicious. The soups are wonderful. The prices are great ... always welcoming smiles ... great little restaurant ...

This is a little hole in the wall in Dartmouth near the MacDonald Bridge. They serve awesome food including take out. Just don't wander in the the bathroom. It is in dire need of a reno. Have the ginger chicken.

Since it opened several years ago I have been a constant visitor to this restaurant. As someone who has visited Vietnam several times (to teach), I was interested to see how the food at this restaurant compared with my food experiences in Vietnam. I wasn't disappointed. I really enjoy Pho and they continually manage to come up with my understanding of an authentic dish. I also liked the prices - cheap. I have never eaten in the restaurant because I am a take-away kind of person but the place is always filled when I come to pick up my meal.
