Redsalt Restaurant at Crowne Plaza Darwin

Definitely worth a dinner date! Family of three. Delicious three meals plus sweets. Rack of lamb Barramundi Prawn Curry. Staff very friendly and helpful. Wine and beer was lovely and chilled. Definitely highly recommended.

Dined here by default as too tired to leave hotel. Very pleasant surprise as the food was excellent. We ate a lot of barramundi in a lot of places on our trip and this was absolutely the best we had. Pleasant location with relaxed atmosphere but very good service.

In town for business and uncomfortable with the Darwin heat, I chose to stay in my hotel every night for dinner. Mitchell's Bar and Grill felt like home with their amazing customer service and Steak Special (sirloin, mash, BBQ corn, glaze) on a sizzler plate with a Coopers beer for a mere $29. Value and delicious dining.

We couldn't be bothered to go outside into the heat so eat in. The Restaurant does all meals from Breakfast to Dinner. The buffet was the typical fare and ok. The Pork Sliders for dinner great. Staff and food quality good. Nice atmosphere and seating as well.

We visited this restaurant on Friday 10th Feb. We had arrived in Darwin by cruise ship and we were really keen to go somewhere nice to have a seafood platter. We arrived at the restaurant around 1-1.30 and the there didn't appear to be any other patrons at the time. This most wonderful young lady (a waitress there) came up to see if she could help us and we advised that we were really keen to have a seafood platter. She said that it is not usually on the lunch menu but she would speak to the chef and see what they could do to help us. On her return she said that the chef (Prabhat) was happy to make us a platter however he would not be able to include fresh (cold) crabs or lobster. We were happy with that. When we received our platter we were not disappointed. It had fish fillets, a tuna fillet (cooked superbly), battered fish, scallops, bbq prawns, calamari, chips and beautiful greek salad. That they went out of their way to give us what we were looking for and the food was absolutely beautiful, the service outstanding. What an asset these two are to this business. They could have easily said "sorry we don't have what you want at lunch time" and given the time of day as well, they really went the extra mile. I wrote the waitresses name down on a serviette but unfortunately we were on holidays for another 2 weeks after that and I have misplaced it. She had a really beautiful and unusual name and I believe her shift finished before we were finished.Our experience at this restaurant made our visit to Darwin and if I am ever in Darwin again I would not hesitate to return here.
