Contribuisci feedbackTypical soy milk breakfast restaurant of Taiwan. I think this place has grown popular among tourists, but they kept their way of doing and a lot of locals still go. Ask for the English menu and find a table. Then go back to the counter to order and pay. Wait for your food at the counter and bring it to your table. Cheap and very tasty. I don’t understand the comments mentioning the hygiene/cleanliness, everything was very clean when I went.
Even though the food wasn’t too bad as for the local traditional soya breakfast, the mood was definitely set poor due to lack of hygiene, oily tables, poor looking menu pictures we used google maps instead to see what others ordered. Anyways we were a European and Korean couple, we were quite sad with cleanliness level, not what we’re used to, they could also invest a hundred euros in to a glass door in order not to waste electricity from AC since its just open space and the cold air just leaves to the outside, seems quite inefficient.
The soy milk and salty soy milk doesn't taste nice nor special at all. Wouldn't recommend those. However, the dumplings are a must eat. The meat in the dumplings are really fresh and tasty.
This place is a gem, same highly recommended for breakfast, brunch, that sort of thing. I don't know it's history, but looks to be an establishment with decades under its belt. My first visit was in 2019, before the pandemic, and I'm very glad to see that this place had survived and is still going strong! Recommend the soy milk products. Cold one, large, definitely. Get one to go! Today, I got a bowl of the savory soy milk plus egg a rich broth with tasty things, great to start your day, along with a small 4pc order of xlb (when in Taiwan... and am egg plus meat floss crepe (called a bing . They also have Jian Bing, which I believe is closer to a flatbread, vs the chewy crepe that I had. Well priced, well fed. Thumbs up!
The food was quick, hot, and fresh. The breakfast items here have a wide variety, but offer great variety on handheld or quick bites. The soup dumplings do not disappoint. The scallion rolls with egg are tasty. The scallion sandwich ? was a bit dry and bland, but with a little chili sauce from the table and it perked it right up. The fan Tuan rice burrito was exceptional. The double fried oil stick inside was a great crunch and texture contrast. The soy milk and peanut milk were great additions to washing all that down.
