Should I check in first? or should I just cab directly to San Loco? (I do check in first) The place is a bit of a hole in the wall, but it has the BEST tacos I have ever had. I have brought many people here on my visits to South Beach, some were skeptical at first, but they were soon won over. On a typical 5 day stay, I would say there are always four stops to San Loco. The location is perfect if you are staying in South Beach. A perfect quick stop on the way to the beach or as a late nite snack. They are open until four AM and you see many of Miami restaurant workers here as well as those taking a break from their socializing, shall we say? San Loco is located next to a tattoo parlor and across the street from Deuce's Bar (another story), which is a divey, interesting bar that is open until 6am. San Loco also delivers to the hotels in the area. They also have burritos and the full range of Mexican specialties, including some apple/cinnamon burritos for those that want a dessert taco (not so crazy, I have tried them at home to save several hundred calories) there are probably about six tables and eight stools at the counter. There is a beer license-they even have Negra Modelo, which is an awesome dark Mexican beer. I would try not to use the restrooms. Usually I do take them to go, but it is a colorful, fun atmosphere to sit in also. There are many reviews on the walls, including a quote from Drew Barrymore that states it is her first stop in Miami. I did not know that we had such a common interest. Go, you will be so happy.
