Pura Vida Beach & Dive Resort Restaurant and Bar

The staff, although sweet and polite, seemed to lack attention. The food was honestly tasteless. With the added service charge and high prices, the value for money was not good.

I recently stayed at Pura Vida Beach and Dive Resort for a week. Let's start with the positives: the rooms were exceptionally clean, quiet, comfortable, and spacious. The resort is located right on the beach and the facilities are great, including the diving center which was top-notch. The boats were clean and in good condition, and the staff and leaders were incredibly polite and helpful. They exceeded my expectations within three days. However, the only downside was the restaurant. I dined there two nights in a row and had a disappointing experience. On Sunday night, I waited half an hour without being greeted or offered water. The service was slow, with my salad taking an hour to arrive. Two hours later, my dessert still hadn't been served and my water glass was never refilled. Feeling ignored, I went to the reception to express my concerns and paid my bill. The next night was a completely different story at the restaurant, with prompt service and friendly staff. However, on my third night, I was ignored again, with no opportunity to order a drink for half an hour. Meanwhile, a large Filipino family received a lot of attention, leading me to believe that the staff purposely avoided eye contact with my table. Frustrated, I walked half a mile to a nearby restaurant called Soga's, where I had a pleasant meal with friendly service. I have never experienced such poor treatment from restaurant staff at a resort before and regretted my decision to dine there. My advice would be to explore other dining options in the area.

The menu at this restaurant offers a variety of food and drink options. The daily specials are a fantastic choice. The service from the waiter is top-notch. The sandwiches come on delicious, crispy rolls filled generously.

A bit more expensive than some of the others resided, but good eat! and is beautifully located right on the beach.

Stayed here for 7 days, regretted having to leave, even if it was to the next dive city. Nice cabins, great choice of food some better than other), cosy bar and wonderfull staff. Would recommend them
