Capt'n Snapper's - Dauphin Island

Highly DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! I called 5 minutes before arriving and asked what the estimated wait time was for 12 people. We were told 20-30 minutes but upon arrival that it was actually 45 minutes-1 hour. No problem, we didn 't mind waiting. Once we were ready to order, we were told they were out of numerous items on the menu. One of the guests with us ordered the Ultimate Seafood Platter and they were told that they were out of crab claws but they could substitute for extra shrimp. When food was brought to the table, there were only 4 shrimp on the platter, definitely not enough food served for the price! After receiving our checks, we seen we were charged a 20% tip PLUS a takeout gratuity. We ended up tipping almost $30 for a $83 order. Absolutely WILL NOT BE BACK.

Great service, amazing food, especially for trying the red snapper Alfredo with shrimp for the first time. Truly great food and would definitely recommend!

Great service from Jade. Pretty expensive for what it is. $35 at lunch for fried oysters and sides and tea w/ tip per person. Oysters a little soggy and some a little chewy. Not many places on Dauphin Island to eat, and only a couple with a boat dock.

Place is a little run down. Food was good and the waitresses were cute.
