I had my usual favorites: chicken with black mushroom rice and chicken sweet siomai supreme. The portions were the same as always. The siomai tasted amazing, as usual. However, the chicken feet were somewhat disappointing; the sauce was tender but lacked flavor. I was the only one dining at 1:30 PM. I was let down by the condition of the sofa chairs, which were damaged and needed repairs. The restroom was clean, and the staff was very helpful, promptly clearing my table, which I truly appreciated.
The 24-Hour Damsum House in Damosa, particularly in the market basket area, offers rice flour at a reasonable price, but overall, their food tends to be quite pricey. Their bulad rice, priced at 134 PHP, lacks flavor and contains only a few small strips of dried fish. The sweet and spicy chicken, which is supposed to serve 2-3 people at 279 PHP, comes with just 5 small chicken wings. Lastly, the lumpiang shanghai, costing 95 PHP, consists of only 3 pieces of fried spring rolls. On a positive note, the place is generally clean as it has been recently refurbished.
I give it a fair share of 4 stars. I ordered a chicken siomai. They gave me a beef flavored one. I told them about it. They said I ordered beef. With all honesty, I don't like beef meat. Why would I order one? They insisted. I also insisted. Told them it's totally wrong. In the end they gave me the chicken siomai. Never argue with your client.
A 24 hours chinese restaurant. If your are looking for a place to eat that's not fastfood, this would be a good alternative to check out. Twitter @Obi1kanobi14
