Machine Shed - Davenport

We visited this restaurant for the first time and it did not disappoint. The waitress was fantastic and extremely friendly! Although it was quite busy, which resulted in a 40-minute wait for our food, it was well worth it. Once our meals arrived, we were all very pleased with our choices.

We visited the Machine Shed on a busy Saturday night, but despite the crowd, the service was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, with generous portions at reasonable prices. We particularly enjoyed the meatloaf and the stuffed pork loin.

Wow! If you're in the mood for hearty, home-style cooking that really fills you up, you have to check out The Machine Shed! The farm-themed decor creates a charming atmosphere, and they have a lovely little store as well. The food is incredible, complete with a fantastic salad bar and exceptional service. Oh, and I can't forget to mention the pie—there's a wonderful selection of desserts! I wholeheartedly recommend it and will definitely stop by again when I'm in the area.

This was a fun place to visit. It reminded us of a Cracker Barrel with better food. I had a ribeye steak and baked potato. My husband had liver and onions and mashed potatoes. Our meal also included table fixings to share (cottage cheese, slaw, mixed veggies, and bread). We brought desert (apple dumpling and chocolate pie) home. Everything was amazingly delicious and there was soooo much food. We had lunch for the next day too! I highly recommend!

I ordered takeout. The host insisted I try the meatloaf. The order was prepared promptly and I was impressed with the portions for the cost. The flavor was consistently delicious through every bite. The only thing that threw me off was the side selections. I wasn’t really interested in any of them and was not able to substitute fries or anything I would eat. Still a great choice. Would recommend anyone to not leave Iowa without giving this place a shot.
