Always a good place. Loves the Louisiana style ice cream coffee and sausage muffin.
Redband Coffee Co. is an institution in the area, but I had not visited since returning to the Quad Cities Area a few years back. I'm not a big coffee, so I had little reason to look for her. In any case, I recently had a sandwich at the Blue Spruce General Store and needed a walk, so what better place to go past as a red tape? It definitely doesn't look much different on foot when driving takes up a relatively small red brick building that, if not for the signs selling the place coffee, could be mistaken for a house on the 4th street. The interior is not much to speak either. A simple gray concrete slab floor, white dry walls, and a white ceiling with some hanging lights that are not sitting anywhere inside. This probably works well in summer as there are picnic tables outside the west of the shop, but in winter the clear means to get your hot drink is simply going through the drive thru. I finished ordering a hot chocolate (again, no coffee person) and got the last peanut butter cookie they had available. I was sitting on one of the picnic tables for pausing and enjoying both. The hot chocolate is definitely on point any kind of foam or cream on top, smooth and rich definitely some of the best I had in the area. The cookie was similar good it was peanut butter and just a little chewing gum, perfect to have with a hot chocolate. Not sure I would come back if only for the fact that I usually have places that I sit and enjoy a drink with a book or newspaper. Nevertheless, both hot chocolate and pastries were fantastic and I would recommend the place for those who enjoy working through the thru drive on the way or elsewhere. Thank you. Redband!
It was from Moline Illinois. See some coffee shops and this was highly recommended. Just 7 minutes away in Davenport Iowa.
Can't agree more with all the other reviews. I also bought a bag of their roasted espresso beans. Am not from the QC area but I will be ordering their coffee online.
