This was surprisingly worse than it looked. I went into the restaurant shortly after they opened. The closing crew it seems didn't clean up from the night before and neither did the opening crew because the booth had to be cleaned before sitting.I snapped some pics which I'll explain. The first is just a massive rip in the booth directly in front of me which tells me they don't care for their business so why would they care for the quality of food. The soy sauce had weird bubbles on top as if some type of oil was mixed with it. The shrimp tempura was straight from a freezer and generic. Both sushi rolls were warm, not at all what you would expect from raw fish or from a sushi restaurant that opened like 10 min prior. They were heavily coated in spicy mayo which generally is good but they were using it to cover up the taste of the other ingredients. It was small and no one there seemed to care about working. I personally will not go back
Midori is our new favorite sushi takeout place. They are always unbelievably fast and for the prices the sushi is great. Especially love their online sushi deals! Definitely suggest getting the tuna volcano roll and the kanni salad. Best spicy Mayo in the area! Love our new weekly (sometimes bi-weekly) spot when we’re needing a sushi fix.
If i could give zero stars i would. appetizers- ok hibachi- not delicious. the meat didn 't seem fresh, wasn 't cooked with the veggies, and was just very BLAND. I asked for a sauce caddy to add flavor, no sauces available. i politely asked for the manager to work something out and he refused to do anything and called the cops on me! told me it wasn 't that expensive as if that was the point.I stayed, explained myself and the cops got him to take off 30%, which was actually more than I needed off.. so it all worked out. my people... don 't spend your money here. this is for them. folks that like unseasoned food.
I’m originally from Long Island, was not a sushi fan until a girlfriend introduced me to it, I’m single now, but still like sushi from time to time. Had a hard time finding a place I liked since moving to NC, the rolls tend to be wider and thinner than I’m used up and I find it less suited for chopsticks. This establishment makes it the way I like, longer, tightly-rolled, easy to use with chopsticks and to dip in soy sauce.Been here a few times for both dine-in and takeout, I’m always satisfied. Best sushi place I’ve been to in NC and I’ve tried many.
