The outdoor area at this restaurant is amazing! There are open spaces, table tennis, and other games scattered around. The DJ played great music that we all enjoyed. While it caters more to a younger crowd (ages 19-25), we had a blast. A special shoutout to the beautiful, friendly, and helpful bartender. I can't remember her name, sorry, I had too many beers. She has black hair and looks like a mix of Latina and Asian with tattoos on her back. She's wonderful at her job and I'm sure she will go far.
The DJ at the restaurant last Saturday night was fantastic. I came here for my bachelorette party and had a great time! The crowd was mostly in their early 20s, while we were in our late 20s, so we felt a bit older, but the atmosphere and music were amazing overall. I highly recommend this place for a fun night of dancing.
There is a phase in life when you're too old to be out at 2 a.m. on most nights of the week, but too young to be in bed at 9. America's Backyard had a soft reopening to transition itself from a bar to an outdoor/indoor restaurant with live music several nights a week. On a Saturday night at 8:30, the band was happily playing covers from the 70s, 80s, and 90s--giving everyone something to rock out on and taking requests long before the end. The food is mostly pizza, but it's good pizza served up personal sized with over 24 varieties (we had the margherita pizza). I was not impressed by the craft beer variety, which could use sprucing up in a South Florida jam-packed with great microbrews (my server suggested Narragansett for lagers and said they had not one sour on tap, bottle, or can). Cocktails are served in plastic cups in this new Covid world and we were seated with a reservation (yes, you need one) on stage right next to the band. My Backyard Lemonade was strong, sour, and a perfect pairing with cheesy pizza. We had a great time and will be back. The Himmarshee District needs a place that's open to families of all types (we brought our Indoor and outdoor seating available. All staff wore masks. Plenty of hand sanitizer throughout Backyard. 50% capacity. Management, service, and cleanliness were on point.
Food came out quickly, and the rest of the staff was nice.
