Contribuisci feedbackI enjoy supporting local businesses, but I was disappointed by the food quality and value for money at this restaurant. The family size portion of chips was only half full, barely warm, and seemed to have burnt batter. The cod portion looked smaller than usual and was nearly cold. I have had better experiences here in the past and believe the team can do better. I would have preferred to send private feedback but could not find an email address. I hope the restaurant improves and meets customers' standards in the future.
After a morning of off-roading on Mount Mee, Dayboro Cafe is a great spot to grab some chips and snacks for the ride back to Brisbane. Despite its quaint and atmospheric appearance, the cafe felt more like a take-out place than a sit-down eatery. It was very quiet with few customers and the service was casual. The highlight was the old piano outside, which provided entertainment while waiting for our food.
We ordered fries, a chicken burger, and a tomato ham and cheese sandwich. It was awful. The burger was overcooked and dry, the fries seemed to have been fried again as they were burnt, and the sandwich bread was stale and lacked butter. When we spoke to the staff about it, they seemed clueless and unhelpful. It's no surprise the place wasn't busy. Avoid this restaurant.
Belligerent is the term I’d use for the service with an inability to answer simple questions but stuck to the script about the chicken salt.
My daughter and I had lunch today value for money, welcoming and friendly service very accommodating. 5
