Love this place. I'm happy they have expanded to a location where I can enjoy their food more than just three days a week. My favorite is the Patacon con Todo. The food is exactly as advertised: simple delicious Colombian comfort food! The prices are reasonable and the portions are generous. Try everything once.
This little quaint stop is right in the far hills area. I saw this restaurant referenced in the Dayton Newspaper. I was eager to visit. This restaurant is a mix of Columbian street fare and down home Columbian cuisine. I tried many of the items on her menu including the: arepas (sweet corn variety), fried plantains, columbian platter, empanadas (chicken, garlic mayo, rosada sauce, tomatoe cilantro sauce, chicken and beef. The four boxes of food plus tostones three leches cake and one lemon lime drink were 29.00$. I honestly dont know where to begin seeing as that most all the food was so good! The chicken and beef were well cooked, very tender, and seasoned well. The sauces were delicious. I would put the garlic mayo on my toothbrush, its that good. The corn, red beans, and black beans were all mild in flavor, the key was that they weren't over seasoned. The empanadas were crispy on the outside, chewy creamy and warm on the inside. The tostones were a little over fried, but crispy and delicious. The rice in my opinion was a little hard, but everything together was like having a symphony in my mouth. Mrs. Lisa the owner made almost everything in front of us. The owner was very friendly and brought our food to our table. She even told us the story of how she came to prepare the streetfood that is so common to the workers of the area in Columbia where her husband is from. My taste buds are literally watering in anticipation of the next time we visit this place. The food is delicious and very affordable. I was informed by Mrs. Lisa that they have a location in 2nd Street Marketplace downtown right next to the Cheeky Meats booth. Please go visit this place and delight you mouth in the heavenly taste of Columbia!
