Lonestar Bbq - Dayton

We genuinely wanted to enjoy this restaurant since it's small, serves BBQ, and is conveniently located near our home, making it a potential catering option. The service was pleasant, but unfortunately, the brisket was the fattiest we've ever encountered (and that was the consensus for all four of us). It was so greasy that we wouldn’t have been comfortable serving it ourselves. We mentioned this to our server, who apologized, but we were hoping the chef would come out to address our concerns. That didn’t happen. Unfortunately, we won’t be returning. It’s a shame.

Despite this, the restaurant remains quite popular among locals, but keep in mind there’s no air conditioning, so it can get pretty uncomfortable during the summer months. It was a hot, sweaty dinner filled with too much fat. If you enjoy fatty brisket, you might find the flavor delicious—the BBQ sauce is quite tasty too.
