Trotta's Steak Seafood - Dayton

Never leave a bad assessment about a place. but if I could give this place a 0, I would. we were over an hour and a half there without getting our dinner, while a table of four got their dinner before us and a table of two had already clinked out despite us and sitting in the restaurant before them (there were only two of us at our tit), sat there for more than 30 minutes, while our wine and water were still empty after several times. had to get 4 different scenic brot before someone actually brought it. can not justify paying $70 for surfing and shaking and paying $40 for such a terrible experience. we have just made the cash before we have our escape for only our wein and appetizer oh also, no ac!

This was our second visit in trottas and eating was just as good as the first time. my sister came this time with us and she was impressed by the quality of eating and preparation. it first ordered the trout, but was later said it was not available. I first ordered the huhn alfredo, but that was not available. she changed her order to the pork chop with Bourbon sauce and said it was one of the best pork chops she had ever eaten. I changed my order on the salmon with celestial sauce that I had ordered at my first visit, and it was just as delicious the second time. there are still air conditioning in the main dining room, but we sat in an upper dining room and it was comfortable. even though our visit had some glitter, it was worth eating the inconvenience. I will return.

Went today for the first time for Fathers Day. I was surprised at our poor experience. We had a 5:15 reservation and didn’t get our meals until 6:50. We didn’t order appetizers, our drinks took a long time, our food order took a long time to place, the two servers were walking as fast as they could without running. The salads were flimsy, and no refill on bread. Had to ask twice. Sat for quite a while and then someone else asked if they could get us anything and we said Our Dinner. She went inside and started yelling, and our meals came out in a few minutes. All the sides were cold and wilted. The entrees were good, but honestly nothing was worth the high prices. Very disappointing.

I would recommend this restaurant to all my friends.

There was no A/C on a hot evening. They seemed to be understaffed. Very friendly but it took a while. Food was good. Not great. Prices were 10% higher than the menu online.
