The blinds were moth-eaten and had holes in them. I had to get out of bed three times during the night to fix a running toilet. The hallway on the third floor was under construction and quite dirty. For $375 a night, I found it to be overpriced and unsatisfactory. I won't be returning to this hotel and would recommend that others seek a better option. On a positive note, the staff were very friendly.
I had a wonderful experience during dinner service at Don Rico's. The staff was incredibly attentive—Danielle was fantastic. However, what truly impressed me was Chef Brandon's special. He features a fresh catch each week and offers seasonal dishes. I tried the Mahi curry with jasmine rice, and honestly, it was a meal I would expect at a fine dining restaurant, not a beachside sports bar. If you're staying at the resort, don't judge the dinner service based on the lunch; it's a complete turnaround!
The hotel is overpriced given its current condition. It could use a thorough cleaning, particularly the pool, and several doors and other fixtures are in need of repair. It seems like this place was quite lovely back in the 90s, but it’s in dire need of updates now. On the plus side, the hotel is located right on the beach, which is a definite advantage. It’s also adjacent to the boardwalk, though like the hotel, it shows signs of wear and tear; overall, it appears quite run-down. Given all this, I wouldn’t choose to stay here again. However, it served its purpose for a trip with my young son. I selected it for its proximity to the beach and boardwalk, as well as my Hilton Honors membership.
Totally wrong address provided. The correct one: 2071 LPGA BoulevardWhat a waste of
Throughout the years, I have stayed at Hilton Hotels in Canada and the U.S., all of which had a high degree of quality. This was not the case when I stayed at the Hilton Daytona Beach. The sparse room itself had a broken refrigerator that no one bothered to remove. The mattress I slept on was more like one in a Days Inn than a Hilton. The costly parking was half a block away from the hotel, unless you wanted to pay $40 for valet parking. I will avoid this hotel in the future.
