The best Taco Tuesday in Desoto! Food: 5/5, Service: 5/5, Atmosphere: 5/5.
I arrived at the restaurant at 12:30 on a Saturday and had to wait 45 minutes for our appetizer. I had to repeatedly ask for drink refills, and at one point, the waiter took my wife's drink but never returned with it. After waiting for ten minutes and seeing the waiter attend to other tables, I had to go and ask for her drink myself. When our food finally arrived, it was incorrect. The staff who brought it out took the wrong dishes off the plate and touched our other food without informing us. After another ten minutes, I had to flag the waiter down to inquire about the mix-up, and when we finally got the correct order, no one checked in on us to see how we were enjoying our meal. The waiter only came to our table when we caught his attention, and this was disappointing, especially since it wasn’t even busy. While the food was decent, the service and speed were abysmal. I used to frequent this place, but I can't recommend it anymore.
Tuesday taco special for 1.50. Heck, I can't make them at home for that price. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Tacos
Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised by the modern and inviting atmosphere of the restaurant. The staff greeted us immediately, seated us, and our waitress was ready to take our order in no time. While it wasn’t particularly busy, they seemed capable of handling a full house. We placed our orders right away, and our food arrived in about eight minutes—hot and beautifully presented. The waitress was attentive throughout our meal, and we found the food to be quite good and reasonably priced. We ordered the Cowboy burgers, which were cooked perfectly to medium rare. However, the onion rings were a disappointment—greasy, soggy, and rather mediocre. On the other hand, the standard fries were well done and enjoyable. JTs is a sports bar that represents the area nicely. It’s definitely worth a visit if you’re passing through or if you’re a local looking to grab a beer and a burger.
