In business for over 60 years, Miss Thomas has been making homemade pies from the time she was 14 years old to this very day, six days a week. An individual who has gone from segregation to an African American President all in the same quaint, non-descript building (save for the words Pie Shop painted on the side). This is one of those places that time has seemingly passed by and has only made the pie better in the process. Miss Thomas uses no written recipes, no measuring tools, and no fancy kitchenware. Just a keen eye and a mastery for divine deserts. Should you be anywhere in the area, do yourself a favor and enjoy this experience because there aren 't too many places like this left. Open from 1 to 5 on Sundays and closed on Mondays. Open 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. all other days of the week.
Yep, I am a fan now. It's such a great location and the pie was great. Worth the effort to find the place.
Incredible pies at an unbeatable price, located in one of the most surprising spots you could imagine. For just $3, you can enjoy a fried pie, and for $9, you can indulge in a large whole pie. These pies are not only delicious but also expertly made. A quick tip: if you’re planning a long trip, be sure to bring some ice or a cooler to keep your pie fresh. This place is typically open from Wednesday to Saturday during the morning and afternoon, so it’s a good idea to call ahead or watch for the open sign while driving by. It can be a bit hard to find; look for the driveway on the opposite side of the highway from Craig's BBQ, and the pie shop is the second building behind the main house.
Are you kidding me? This restaurant is a must-visit for anyone who loves pie, culture, or just needs a bit of happiness in their life. It’s an experience you really shouldn’t miss. The chocolate, pecan, and coconut pies are the best I've ever had. Make sure to call ahead, bring cash, and consider picking up an extra pie for a friend or loved one. You won't regret stopping here!
We had the chocolate pie, and it was incredibly delicious! The staff were also very friendly!
