Canton Restaurant - Deer Lake

I am happy with the current take-out only service at this restaurant. The portions are generous and the food is tasty. Our favorite dish is the Jumbo platter, which has all of our favorite items in one meal. The chow Mein is especially delicious. The staff at this restaurant provides excellent service and are always eager to help. We love the Canton and will definitely be coming back.

Most amazingly warm and friendly staff, and very warm atmosphere. Relatively standard Canadian-Chinese fare, but prepared well, with quality cuts of meat that are perfectly cooked. Scallops are a nice addition to a number of dishes, which haven't seen at a lot of Chinese restaurants around. Service is attentive and the wait time for your food is short. Definitely worth a stop if you're looking for Chinese food in the area, or even a relatively quick lunch. Will be back!

Solid! When I visited, it was take-out only. Portions generous, and the food was authentic. Prices reasonable. Owners fantastic and service was great. Flavours authentic. Probably helped that I spoke Cantonese too...

Generous portions! Curry beef was tasty, as was the lemon chicken! Lemon chicken was drowning in sauce, might be better to have sauce on the side. Overall though, pretty good Chinese food. Does taste a bit westernized.

The best Chinese restaurant in Newfoundland! I’ve ate Chinese from coast to coast and in between. The Canton and in Deer Lake is the most delicious tasting and bang for your buck.
