Deer Lake

Very conveniently located near the airport. Late check-in after our flight arrived around midnight, went smoothly. Pet friendly rooms are a bonus! Breakfast was delicious.

Restaurant is gluten and peanut free.The hamburger with cheese and fries are amazing, the kid's grilled cheese and fries and smoked meat sandwich and fries were destroyed in a few minutes after receiving.Food drinks: Restaurant that has a dedicated gluten and peanut free kitchen.

Humber Cafe in the motel has great staff and wholesome food at a fair price. It also has a dedicated gluten free fryer prep area for my friend's diet. Recommended.

We stayed at the Deer Lake Motel for 2 nights during our NL trip and it was excellent. Room was clean and comfortable, and staff was very friendly and helpful. The front desk staff was very accomodating when we arrived before the earliest check in and moved us into an available room so we could drop off our bags. The food at the restaurant was delicious I really enjoyed the turkey vegetable soup I had one day for lunch and their pan fried cod was wonderful. The hotel offers a free breakfast for guests staying in their hotel scrambled eggs, toast, homefries, and choice of sausages or fried ham. I think you can order a different breakfast if you don't want the free one (that would have a cost), but we always took the free one. Motel is conveniently located just off the Trans Canada, which makes it very easy to get on the road to explore. There is no elevator in the motel, so if you have any issues with mobility, you may wish to request a ground floor room.
