Flavors Caribbean - Deerfield Beach

The food is decent but not particularly remarkable; I’d describe it as the fast food of Caribbean cuisine. The lunch special is exactly that—special in its own way. You get whichever rice they have in abundance, and the salad or cabbage is chosen according to the same logic. However, despite what the menu claims, there are never any plantains included in the lunch special.

The brown stew chicken was tasty, but there wasn't enough gravy on the rice, making it a bit difficult to eat and somewhat dry. They also forgot to include the yellow yams that I had paid extra for. Overall, I’d give it a 7 out of 10.

Alijana offers some of the best customer service I've ever experienced. Aliyana is both professional and friendly! She always greets me with the new lunch specials. I love the home-cooked meals in this family business! The flavors truly capture the essence of Jamaica!

I've never written a bad review in my life! The food I received yesterday and spent $30 on was the worst thing I ever had, especially when I first had eaten from this amazed and always had a good experience. I was told that the cook has changed? It won't go back. I had to throw out the food! What a waste.
