Gianni Fig's - Deerfield

A wonderful little local restaurant with fantastic atmosphere, friendly staff, and even more wonderful food. Especially the mozzarella.

Food very good, but policy at front counter says 2 hours allowed! Waitstaff does rush you,! That I found very disappointing. For the prices, linen napkins I would’ve expected leisurely dining not so. Wait staff came twice to take away our salads before we are finished. This is on a Wednesday night. They were not crowded.

We arrived at 6:15 for 6:30 reservations.There was an open table and the hosted said it needed to be set up. 60 min later we were still not seated. We watched three different parties come in after us and seated before us, the last party arriving at 7:15. When we mentioned it the hostess she said they told her they arrived before us. (they did not) It appears as If they know you, you get preferential treatment. After being ignored and treated unfairly we left without being seated. The place is extremely noisy and service help is unfriendly. Don't bother making reservations they're useless. You need to be a regular to get a table. I will never go back.

After being recommended by 2 co-workers I decided to order catering for our staff xmas gathering. We were excited about the food. When we got to Giannis they were closed for dining but were able to come in and get our order. At that time we were told that the potatoes and vegetables were not available. Disappointed to find out day of but we were told that we were given pasta in place of it. When we got to our location and set out the food we didn't get pasta and I had to call them and let them know. The young man that was helping us the whole time didn't know much and had to keep going back to Gianni to ask which was a little annoying. Finally we just asked them if we can get a credit applied to our card for the inconvenience. The young man said he would tell Gianni. We never got the credit and had to eat our Chicken Picatta without potatoes and veggies or pasta. It was good but I will not be ordering from them again unfortunately.
