Group of 4 who were the first arrivals on a Wednesday evening. Took a ridiculous amount of time to get our drinks (beer and wine, so no excuse of cocktails that require effort to produce), also second round of drinks that we were forced to order because there was no sign of our food or update on why it was taking so long. When the food finally arrived it was good, but the service has to drastically improve.
We were not impressed at all with the food. Some cuts of my maki did not even have fish in them. Just plain rice. Service was bad, too. She would let us sit for 15 mins. No smile at all. Never going back.
We had a reservation, but when we arrived, we still had to wait. The hostess seemed confused and flustered, so it took awhile before we were seated. Once at the table, we waited about 25 minutes before anyone came to take even a drink order, and that only happened because we stopped someone and asked them to find our server. The other hostess did come by more than once to apologize and did bring us complimentary edamame, which was nice. The food was good. I had tilapia which was very tasty. The only downer was that my friend's steak was overdone. The restaurant is very lovely and nicely decorated. Prices are reasonable. I would go back, but just be aware of slow service.
This restaurant used to be good, but our recent experience was disappointing. It took two hours to receive our sushi on a slow Monday night, with no apology or offer to make it right. Our food order was also messed up and the quality was just average. There are much better sushi places just a short drive away. We will not be returning.
