We had eaten lunch at the place and were deliberately not on Friday, but wanted to spontaneously decide where to eat. My wife studied the card in the elevator and the decision was made. There was mouth change so that the mother-in-law no longer allowed a contradiction. With not so great expectations that I entered the restaurant of the Steigenberger, I personally had some other restaurants in sight. The restaurant on the ground floor is very pleasantly integrated into the hotel, we feed in the conservatory and thus protected by the hectic and hectic at the bar and reception. Overall you feel comfortable and can eat in a pleasant atmosphere. The service has made joy. That was a positive surprise. Questions about food have been discussed and informed. The wine map was very clear, and that in Deidesheim!? So I spontaneously asked about wine recommendations for both the appetizer and the main food. Our waiter surprised us with spontaneous joy about our desire and our confidence in his knowledge. He didn't disappoint us and was a good companion for the food. For appetizers we chose the mules filled with chestnut sours on truffled herbs with thorn field sauce and wild salmon startar. My tortar was neat, fresh, well costed with onions and capers. But the climax of the evening was the muzzle, on the one hand, because it left a satisfied shelf and on the other hand, because it was accompanied by such a never eaten fabulous sauerkraut, I was allowed to drink! To the main ice, my wife chose Wildlachs, I chose a barbaric breast. Grilled Scottish wild salmon fillet on white burgundy sauce, on jagged young leaf spinach and potato herbs Gnocchis Barbary debruist with burglary potatoes and Mediterranean vegetables Also here both dishes well prepared, the fish glazed to the point, the duck pink and delicate on the plate. The supplements were boring. Two espresso closed the food, a good single malt 15 years in the evening. So if you eat at the Steigenberger's restaurant for some reason, don't make a mistake. That was too good!
