Il Fornaio Del Mar

I was in this restaurant yesterday. This is not a good place if you have food allergies. The waiter was not helpful and avoids me. After a while, one of the managers tried. Unfortunately, my chicken came over everything with pepper and this is one of the things I had stressed as a problem. The rest of group 6 said their meals were fine. I'm lucky to eat in many nice restaurants in San Diego that have taken my allergies nicely. This place has failed.

Food: The Piatto Di Salumi is a beautiful shaded, but the amount is a lot smaller than what you expect. Probably good for 2-3 people tops. Wine: The wine itself is okay, but the happy hour offers are great. Place: Add to the beach viewpoint and the roof-Esque Vibes, and it is a good time. Sunset and night lighting are pretty nice. Dress: casual wear is fine, but the setting fits a short sleeve button up with shorts better on most normal days. Overall: Great place for a date or your extra-city friends.

Carpaccio and Pinot grigio with a view of the ocean and a water feature masking the chatter of customers. Pure bliss.

Ordered take out tonight and the food itself is alright but can't believe the portions. I know that take out can sometimes me skimpier opposed to eating in the restaurant but this was ridiculous. Less than half the container was full, barely even a child's portion of pasta. So overpriced for $24 wish I spent my money elsewhere
