Chicas Cuban Cafe - DeLand

This restaurant is AMAZING! The staff is friendly and attentive. Kudos to the chef—the food is outstanding! I've been to many places serving Cuban cuisine, but this one is my top choice. It's an absolute must-try!

Okay, that was the best red beans and rice I've ever had—absolutely the best! The plantains were cooked to perfection, and the yuca fries were incredibly tasty. I really enjoyed the entire meal!

This was my first and last experience ordering from Chicas. The yucca balls and ham croquettes were dry and lacked flavor, with no sauces provided—simply disappointing. The empanadas didn't resemble the pictures at all and also came without any sauces. The beef filling was mediocre, but the crust was the standout feature. Everything was packed in flimsy styrofoam, which didn't help the overall experience.

Didnt receive two things that I ordered and their pictures are deceiving. Those are not the fries they have. Even the Cuban was disappointing.

The amount of food you get is well worth the cost and flavor! The Havana Loaded Plantain Strips and the Ropa Vieja entrée were amazing(this coming from a Puerto Rican who has eaten traditional Cuban food from abuelitas straight off the island)! The quality was excellent on both orders. I am now very excited to stop by the cafe with friends and enjoy some more meals together.
