Neighbors Artisan Taqueria - DeLand

I really love this place! It's conveniently located next to a brewery, and on Fridays, they host an Artisan Farmers Market. The tacos are delicious, and my go-to option is the rowdy neighbor taco. I also tried the donuts, but they were a bit undercooked this time—hopefully, they'll improve on that during my next visit.

I just waited 45 minutes for the worst tacos I've ever experienced. I ordered the Upstate Neighbor, and it was missing half of the ingredients it was supposed to include. Additionally, it was overloaded with blue cheese, making it nearly inedible. I also paid $13 for it. To be honest, I'm really not happy with this meal.

Next, I asked for my water. I was informed it was in the ice cooler, but when I checked, it was empty. Instead, I was given a warm bottle of water that had been sitting on the floor. In summary, I paid $15 for a bottle of warm water. I believe if a sauce contains meat, it should be clearly labeled in the description. Also, how is it possible that the meat quality is so low that it can be mixed into a sauce, yet they charge two dollars extra for a black bean patty? What kind of place makes meat cheaper than beans?

I had an awful experience at this restaurant! The tacos were the worst I've ever had. The $7 salsa was terrible, and the beef was incredibly bland. The tortilla was cold and chewy, while the salsa had a strange, unappetizing flavor and was overpriced. The pork was so dry that it was inedible. The chips tasted bad and had an odd flavor as well. The only redeemable item was the fries, but only because everything else was so disappointing. The mushroom tacos were just passable, lacking both flavor and freshness. Unfortunately, three out of my five orders went straight into the trash. When I complained to the staff, they were completely indifferent. There’s nothing artisanal about this place. I suggest avoiding it! Not even Cholula hot sauce could save this meal.

The food is excellent, and the service is friendly—exactly how it should be. However, parking can be limited, so I recommend arriving as early as possible.
