We came here after hearing great reviews. When we walked in the hostess did not show us to our seat she said go to the 3rd floor and sit at the 2nd table to the right. That table had a tray of food on it. It was finally moved and we waited for a bit for someone to take our drink orders. She then asked if we were ready for our food order too, which we were because it had been so long since we sat down. I ordered the original burger and fries and it didn 't even arrive on a plate or a paper container, just on a piece of wax paper. If you add tomato and lettuce they will charge .25 each. Also, do not get the iced tea. It tasted like dirty socks. Not worth it.
It's very small and dirty. The bathroom was cramped and filthy. But our server, Dee, was fabulous and the only reason we'd go back. We ended up on the third floor after a 20-minute wait and ordered the pickles, pretzels, and burgers. It's tasty, but the cramped space didn't do it for us.
The staff and food were both great. The curds here are great. It 's not hard to beat the Culver 's curds anymore since they changed, but they 're about 20x better. Much more classic fried curds. The monk burger is a must.
I love this place because of the nostalgia of coming here with my parents but the prices have become outrageous and the burgers aren't as good as they used to be.
