Yan's Chinese Buffet - Delmar

It's delicious. It is fast and easy and you can have several plates and is all for the same amount all the time. And the best parts is it has soft served chocolate and vanilla ice cream machine sweet delicious watermelon . Even if the rooms are outdated, they have something for someone.

Yan 's is the quintessential small city Chinese buffet. The food is excellent and on par (if not better with one of the more expensive Asian restaurants in this area (Albany, we have tried many). Small, cozy atmosphere with a family staff that is friendly and welcoming (and always very busy! . The buffet is not huge (remember small family-run restaurant, but the food is good and the choices are more than satisfying. Later in the afternoon there is the typical downtime (approx. 3PM between lunch and dinner, if the buffet can run a bit low, but this is understandable as they prepare for their dinner menu and set the buffet back. A nice quiet place to sit with friends and family and enjoy entertainment and a cozy meal. You also have an excellent take-out buffet option for those on the go. I recommend Yan's. My children love it and we get delicious food there almost every week!

Favorite place for Chinese buffet. Nothing beautiful, but you know what you will get and your expectations will always be met. Eating is the same decent quality as any Chinese buffet and you get a good value for the price. It's never too busy that you can't find seats, but always busy enough to keep things fresh

If you live in the area, you don't have to read a review of this place. It is difficult to describe why Yan's is so well loved, but it is still a classic Delmar institution. I would call it your typical cheap Chinese food, but it's not the same. Food can only really be described as Yan's, and for most people who are good. It's all you can eat buffet, you'll see someone you know, and someone you don't have at other tables every time you go, and the staff is probably immortal. They have a soft ice machine that has a lot of love over the years, making ominous breeding noises with every use. It's cheap and it's worth visiting in a strange way if nothing else. Minus a star because they used to have Yugioh stickers in a coin machine on the front and I will never emotionally accept his distance.

I totally recommend this buffet if you have a hunger for Chinese food but don't have much time for lunch! Love how fast you can get in and out. Fast turnover of the food in buffet dishes, so food tastes and looks fresh.
