The Veggie Stone with the flat beans was to die and I am so glad that I got the Turkish tee because the presentation was great that they got their own pretty teekanne and glass. the baklava is divine! the prices are stupid. Just go.
We were treated to dinner at Star Manti and what a treat it was! Located in a small and cozy restaurant in a strip mall in Delran, we stepped into a warm and inviting space by the Sheri the cook, server and proprietress. We shared the Karisik Meze Tabagi (Mixed Appetizer Plate) which was delicious. Turkish style appetizers such as stuffed grape leaves (Zeytinyagli Yaprak Dolma), potato salad, eggplant shakshuka, hummus, tabbuli and mixed vegetables with warm pita bread was delicious and was perfect for the four of us to share. I ordered the Uludag soda (the traditional mixed fruit flavor) and the Adana Kebab, a Turkish style kofta served with amazing butter laced rice and fresh Coban Salatsi (Shepherd Salad) made of cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, peppers and parsley in a fresh lemon and olive oil dressing. Others at the table ordered Kuru Faulye (white beans cooked with lamb), Nohut (chickpeas cooked with lamb), Sis Kebab (lamb shish kebab) and all of the dishes were delicious, flavorful and served with their delicious rice and salad. To finish we shared the Firinda Sutlac (baked rice pudding) which was garnished with cinnamon and pistachios, washed down with perfectly made Turkish Coffee. A wonderful evening of fantastic food that transported us from a New Jersey strip mall to the world of the Ottomans. We were treated to dinner at Star Manti and what a treat it was! Amazing food . We have tried mantı , which is kind of Turkish dumbling with meat, and yogurt, tomato sauce on the top was excellent. I have tried hunker begendi, eggplant with lamb on the top spectacular . Delicious side salad , really good grilled chicken , very well seasoned . At the end friendly chat with the owner and Turkish tea service . I will definitely be back for more
Service : * Food : Ambiance : Price Quality : High Nothing is so special here, I am so surprised the yelpers here have given good reviews. This small restaurant is very overpriced according to the its food quality, ambiance location.
Amazing food and the owners are wonderful. Always a great experience, this is our 4th or 5th time here and we will be coming back!!!
