I gave this rating as I felt it was child friendly and a safe place for kids. The food was pretty good too. The place has 2 bars, it is a little pricey but the fact that it is cool, very clean and they served a good variety of good made it a winner in my book. There is also outside seating.
Unfortunately we couldn’t try their sandwiches. They closed up in front of us at 7:44pm a worker asked if we were going to order and said they’re closing in a rude way. No costumer service even when they close at 8pm last Tuesday. If I could ever try them and can edit my review.
My first time trying Big T's Deli and I really liked their Pastrami Sandwich. The Pastrami was the best I've had in South Florida and I appreciate that it was not your typical South Florida commercial and packaged pastrami and that someone tried to prepare a superior product and this in a market where the locals and elderly New Yorker's think Too Jays (or the **** they serve in bagel shops) offer an authentic deli experience. Kudos to Big T's for going better. Some thoughts though; My sandwich was rife with fat and yes I understand that Pastrami is going to have some fat and some fat is needed but mine had too much. Also the price with tax and tip was about $21 or $22 and I'm okay with paying that much for a quality sandwich and my go to is 2nd Ave Deli and there with tax and tip the Pastrami Sandwich is $35 so this is cheaper but.... this is also about one third the size. There is also no ambiance as this is in a food court and when I go to a deli there is a real local experience which is lacking here. I live nearby and got the food to go. I also tried a Roast Beef sandwich and it was just basic and while at least it wasn't Boar's Head, the commercial brand was of the same less than average standard. My experience was varied but shortcomings aside I liked the Pastrami and I'll be back.
I come by the market all the time and have noticed lately that it is empty most of the time. I have concluded that throughout the whole market quality is lacking and price points are absurd. I am from New York and grew up on the bacon egg and cheese sandwich. I just paid $12.07 for a bacon egg and cheese sandwich and the person making it refused to put Ketchup on it. We can put it on the side for you . When I politely asked why the response was that because they only have ketchup packets, they can 't put them on the sandwich. I guess it 's overly laborious at $12.07 for a bacon egg and cheese when no one else was in line to put ketchup on an already way overpriced sandwich. I 've never come across a bacon egg and cheese worth $12.07 in New York City let alone Delray Beach, and there is no place in the universe where a bacon egg and cheese should cost more than 8 bucks. The owners are nice people which is why this is a 2 star rather than a 1 star review but frankly in need of a wake up call.
