However, I cannot say for certain if they can guarantee the same when called and given a verbal assurance. Personally, I do not have celiac disease. If a restaurant offers gluten-free options and I choose to try them, I understand the risk. Ultimately, their lack of compliance is disappointing, especially considering the many smaller farms with superior food options that I would rather support.
This restaurant is hit or miss when it comes to cross contamination and gluten-free options. I wouldn't rely on verbal assurances that you'll be safe. As someone who isn't severely gluten-sensitive, I'm willing to take the risk, but for those who are, I'd suggest looking elsewhere. There are many smaller establishments with tastier food that take allergies more seriously.
