The food service was not good--we had to go out of our way to even ask to place an order. We were there for a full HOUR before getting our food. The pub was only about 40% full-if that. The sausages are DEEP FRIED and not very tasteful. TOAST: some restaurants leave their bread out exposed to air for convenient/fast access. The bread dries out. Then sometimes they will TOAST it rather than have it go to waste. I SUSPECT this is what they did. the toast was waaayyyy to dry! They even didn't put margerine on it while it was hot/warm. Picture unmelted margerine on cold, dry and incredibily hard toast. Was traveling with a senior who only ordered toast and coffee and it was horrible. I showed our server the toast and insisted she touch it to feel how hard and dry it was. I said it should never have been served (unmelted margerine! . She didn't care. My relatives who took me there are lifelong residents of Ladner and said the pub used to be better. Save your money and go elsewhere. Very poor service (they barely came back to refill our coffee .
We just had the best breakfast for $5 each this morning. Three eggs, three bacon, three sausages, toast and coffee for the three of us, including tax and tip came to $21. Service was fast, the food was hot and we were really impressed. I can't think of anywhere else where you get a big, beautiful breakfast for $5. Bon's on Broadway in Vancouver is the only other place and it's packed solid. We'll be back!
This place has been neglected by the ownership since the 1980's. The interior decor is depressing, sticky and dirty. The food and booze is cheap and the service is OK but the clientele appear to be mainly ex-cons, future cons, old whores and current junkies. This is the place where dreams go to die.
During our stay at the hotel next to the pub, we were pleasantly surprised by the delicious food. The menu offered typical pub favorites, but they were exceptionally tasty.
This restaurant offers a straightforward and genuine menu, with a standout burger and a laid-back atmosphere without any airs. The decor is reminiscent of an 80s basement, giving off a nostalgic vibe. They also have karaoke for added entertainment.
