We booked here for afternoon tea to celebrate my friends 40th birthday, and it did not disappoint. One of the best afternoon teas we have ever had. Everything was so fresh, from the bread to the cakes. Service was brilliant, couldn’t do more for us. I am only disappointed that we do not live near to visit regularly, but next time we are in the area we will be back.

What a lovely experience having booked afternoon tea for two.My friend and I visited yesterday and were met at the door and shown to a table by a very nice young man.He served us with a pot of tea then brought us a three tier cakestand full of their finest ware.Delicious homemade sausage rolls Freshly made sandwiches with four different fillings.Next tier 4 delightful sponge cream cakes homemade,smelling newly baked and tasted devine.Top tier scone of your choice Jam and cream with a fresh strawberry and to finish off a piece of millionaire shortbread.

£10 each for afternoon tea take away BOOM and FABULOUS, four sandwiches, delicious sausage roll, scone cream jam, lemon cake, cream sponge, chocolate brownie (now that was yummy) and a couple of fresh strawberries. Really, go for it. Great value for what you get. Was lovely to catch up with some of the girls in my ‘She Shed’ social distancing of course and time to forget about the ‘Covid’ Vintage Sugar Tea Rooms are open Thursday to Saturday and all looked clean with Covid protocol in place.
