Het Vaderland - Dendermonde

We visited the countryside this weekend and had a fantastic experience with the wild menu at this restaurant. We tried a delicious cappuccino made with wild porcini mushrooms, followed by perfectly fried fish. The food was amazing, satisfying, and had a unique and pure taste. The new chef continues to impress us. Keep up the great work!

This restaurant has been visited several times, but I have not become a regular customer. I took some notes for Mr. Frank's critique. Despite many reviews, the restaurant does not have air conditioning. The dish described by Mr. Frank, scampi with strawberries, was not on the menu last year. The service I received was satisfactory, with attentive and correct staff. The kitchen is also well-qualified. It is interesting how everyone's experience can be so consistent.

I'm sorry, but honestly, it's gonna take a long time and I'm gonna need this from my heart. Last night for the first time, most unfriendly welcoming. We were clearly not habituary, and you'd better stay away. Air conditioning was freezing on ours, and the other clients' asking to do something about that, we got a bone answer that it's too hot for the kitchen staff. Sorry, folks, client isn't king here. A point seignant. Give that a comment, you get an answer: Yeah, I see it too. No excuse, nothing... If Mr. Pays, ma'am, get the change back: It's not for his flames. Marco borsato screams in your ears, delicious lunch music. 5 scampis and some strawberries and vegetables for 18.10 in such a beautiful ambiance: By leaving the establishment, I picked up my jacket myself, turned out to be on the ground for half an hour without giving up any comment, and we got another salute called from behind the counter. The interior of the restaurant is very traditional, but the outdoor terrace is beautiful and inviting, especially in the summer. However, the management could improve. It feels more like a brasserie than a fine dining restaurant.
