It has a wonderful location right on the Square, which made for a lovely walk from the restaurant. Right as you step in, youfeel as though you've entered a movie scene. The style is like a 1950's soda/ice cream bar, which makes for a really cool eatingexperience! The area was crisp and clean, unlike most ice cream shops with their sticky floors and questionable stains. They haddozens of flavors, all made in house. The staff were super friendly, and we never felt rushed as we each asked for 4-5 samples, even as a line was forming behind us (sorry to all those folks, but I needed to make the right choice! . My wife got the AlmondJoy in a cone, and I got a bowl with two things I can't remember (one of them was like a moonpie, and the other was made withDr. Pepper . Yall, the ice cream was delicious! AND, it wasn't expensive. All in all we paid around $8. I will be returning,Lord willing!
This is the sweetest little ice cream shop I've ever been in! The decor is reminiscent of ice cream shops of times gone by. They have a wide variety of flavors to sample and choose from. The chocolate covered strawberry is a treat to one's taste buds, especially on a hot day in the 90s. The employees are very friendly and welcoming. I don't get to Denton very often, but nexttime I'm in town I have to come back and try more flavors! Yum!
The counter service was quick and convenient, although the option to sample up to three flavors did lead to longer lines. The menu was easy to read and offered a wide variety of choices. The staff were friendly, helpful, attentive, and knowledgeable. The establishment was clean, though it showed signs of age and could use some refreshing. The ice cream was delightful and true to its flavors; the Jack Daniel's ice cream tasted exactly like the whiskey. Overall, it was a great experience, and I will definitely be back.
I was recommended this ice cream shop by a coworker, and I’m so glad I went! There are so many flavors to choose from! The atmosphere is fun and perfect for families. The ice cream is deliciously creamy—especially the rum raisin!
What a delightful experience! The ice cream here is rich and custom-made, not just a rebranded version of Blue Bell or Breyers. I tried the banana cream pie flavor in a single scoop on a sugar cone, and it was fantastic. My wife ordered the courthouse pecan and absolutely loved it—very flavorful and indulgently rich. Our daughter opted for mint cookie and tin roof. The tin roof was delicious, especially with the fudge. As for the mint cookie, it’s pretty much cookies and cream with mint instead of the usual cream; it’s decent, but nothing special. Overall, a wonderful treat!
