Havent been to main campus for lunch in many years pre faux flu , place would smell better if students where taught personal hygiene and what deodorant is instead of instructors political mile hike from closest parking
Given we are coming up in thanksgiving break, I wanted go to the dining hall, Eagle Landing, to use my swipes. Since i’m heading out of town for the holidays, I brought my own containers from home, since they don’t provide any unlike other universities, to take my food with me. As I was leaving, I was stopped my 2 employees and was told to throw my food away. When I asked why, she said that I was not allowed to take my food out of the dining hall. I asked where I could find that rule and she couldn’t give me an answer. In the end, I went ahead and threw it out since it wasn’t worth the hassle, but I already paid for the food and I will not get that swipe back.My issue is no only was it wasteful to have me throw away my food that I already purchased, but my didn’t the university make it known that students can not take food out of the dining hall? I looked on the website and couldn’t find anything regarding that. It is very ignorant to tell people where they can and can not eat.
The food is all fresh and tasty with real, low processed ingredients. You can tell they do all the cooking in-house.Eagle landing is huge, with 6 lines for different types of food (not counting the desert line). Italian, Asian/Indian, Texmex, Southern Homestyle, Salad Bar, and Burgers. The only downside is that it's popular and can get crowded. If you're able to eat before or after the normal lunch time, it'll be easier to get through lines and find seats. Even when there are lines, though, they usually move fairly quickly. The staff there has always been great. Excellent service.
One of the best dining halls in the world. If you have ever ate college food before you will want to transfer to UNT. They have good hours and the grilled burgers are delicious. They also have tons of labels for what’s vegetarian, vegan, non-gmo and whatever other dietary restrictions you might have. The vegan food is also actually good but for meat eaters the grill is the best area to go to.
